Analytic and Reporting Services, Actuarial Services

Valence Health can deliver highly usable reports that inform decisions throughout the care delivery system. Our actuarial and financial expertise is complemented by our proprietary integration, data warehousing, and reporting tools.

vQuest is an interactive web-based analytic reporting tool that supports enterprise-wide reporting needs, providing clinical and financial information with unmatched clarity. Users can efficiently identify economic and clinical trends and easily understand their inherent basis.

  • Management Reports illustrate cost drivers and key performance indicators for management. The report provides benchmarks allowing you to focus your attention on opportunities for change to improve medical and financial performance. A broad range of subjects is included to provide a comprehensive view of Medical Loss Ratios, utilization patterns and where the money is going.
  • Primary Care Physician Reports provide many of the same data from the Management Reports, but it is isolated on the panel of the patients for an individual PCP. Additional information is provided to identify high risk and high cost patients of that provider.
  • Specialty Profiles gives physicians and executives detailed information on both the continuum of care and specific episodes of care that can immediately be applied to patient care and network protocols. The report is often used to present leading practice patterns, which verifies and encourages compliance with organizational change.
  • Pharmacy Reports provide detailed information on prescriptions and pharmaceutical usage by patients and members. The report provides information on the usage of drugs by type and class as well as specific high-cost drug utilization.

Actuarial Services

Valence has experienced actuaries who analyze the actuarial soundness of health plan proposals and recommend alternative risk-sharing strategies to protect from adverse selection and catastrophic outliers. They can prepare rate filings and maintain Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) calculations and lag triangles to integrate with financial statements and complete data for reporting. Services can enable clients to compare actual performance to budgeted performance to community, industry, and specialty benchmarks.
